My shoe collection has had a vacancy ever since my cat forced me to send my lone pair of tall black boots into early retirement. None of the recent applicants were quite right. (Pointy toe? Nah. Stiletto heel? Nope. Totally flat sole? No, thanks.) I figured I could just get through the season sans knee-high boots until I was contacted by the creative team at Vogue Footwear. After poring through their catalog of fresh, cutting-edge shoes, I was instantly digging The Dancing Queen boot!
The leather and suede combo and 3 inch heel are an exciting addition to my closet, and I especially love the juxtaposition of the Victorian-esque laces in the front and the modern exposed zipper on the side. The boots inspired me to put together 3 looks for my eclectic inner dancing queen. Which one is your fave?
80's New Wave
One of the raddest ways to wear a modern pair of boots is to pair them with a retro outfit, like high-waisted cutoff shorts and a cropped sweatshirt. The 80s gave birth to such dances as the MC Hammer, the Roger Rabbit, and the Moonwalk. Admittedly, busting a move while wearing the Dancing Queen boots is a bit. . .challenging, but still a blast! All you need is a boom box - do they still make those?

Florals and rompers are young and sweet, so tall black boots provide just the right amount of sophistication for those of us who are a wee bit older than 17. Add a girly purse and sparkly earrings and you'll be ready to have the time of your life on a special date or drinks with the girls.

Tall black boots were made for black leggings. For a pretty-in-punk look, don a plaid shirt, red lipstick, and faux fur vest. Now, who is headed to the mosh pit with me?
